The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office is observing National Bullying Protection Month. Bullying is behavior that is intentional, malicious and repetitive. It can be verbal, physical or social. In New York State Anti-Bullying Legislation entitled The Dignity for All Students Act was signed into law on September 13, 2010 and took effect on July 1, 2012 forcing school districts to revise their codes of conduct and adopt policies intended to create a school environment free from harassment and discrimination.
