State police at Oneonta responded to a report of an attempted robbery Saturday at Otsego Auto Crushers on State Route 23 in the Town of Davenport, Delaware County.

The investigation resulted in the arrest of 23-year-old Johnathan R. Lynn of East Meredith for attempted robbery, a class E felony, and criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument, a misdemeanor. Lynn was arraigned in Town of Davenport court and remanded to the Delaware County jail on $15,000 cash bail.

Further investigation seemed to reveal that Lynn was also responsible for the robbery of the Convenience Express in the Town of Oneonta on April 19th, as well as the robbery of the Oneonta Arby's restaurant on April 24th. Robbery charges, a class C felony, are pending in Town of Oneonta court.

State police were assisted by the Otsego and Delaware County Sheriff's offices, the Oneonta Police Department, and the State Division of Parole.
