CWC Approves 5 Projects

At its July meeting the Catskill Watershed Corp. approved five applications under the Flood Hazard Mitigation Implementation Program. They include $5,000 each to the Andes Public Library and the Town of Denning for studies regarding elevating buildings. Just over $153,000 was awarded design a stream bank restoration project along Rondout Creek. Margaretville Telephone Company was awarded $5,000 to study flood proofing options at its Academy Street location and David Truscott of Delhi was awarded a $6,400 reimbursement to anchor two 275-gallon fuel tanks in his basement.
