New York Governor Andrew Cuomo had some tough words for the state’s county sheriffs.

The governor told reporters yesterday that law enforcement officials don’t get to pick and choose which laws they will enforce, and New York’s new tough gun restrictions are included.

Cuomo adds that if sheriffs who oppose the state’s new bullet limits and rules against semi-automatic firearms don’t enforce the law, the result will be chaos and a dangerous and frightening precedent.

The members of the New York State Sheriff’s Association and five other sheriffs have taken legal action to block new limits on the number of bullets in a magazine and other new gun restrictions.
