Governor Andrew Cuomo was officially nominated Thursday as the Democratic candidate for governor.

The official nomination came from New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio on the last day of the New York State Democratic Convention. Following his acceptance of the nomination, Cuomo talked about the boost in the state’s economy during his first term in office.

Cuomo had announced Wednesday that Kathy Hochal will be his choice as Lieutenant Governor, replacing Bob Duffy.
