Assemblyman Cliff Crouch will host an informational forum on the NY SAFE Act from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the Oxford Rod and Gun Club.

The forum will include Chenango County Sheriff Ernest Cutting, Jr., Chenango County clerk Mary Weidman and SCOPE President Steve Aldstadt.

Crouch, who voted against the NY SAFE Act, says it’s important for everyone to know the provisions of the law and how it will affect the safety of their families. Crouch calls the passage of the NY SAFE Act was clearly a political move that infringed on the constitutional rights of law-abiding firearm owners across the state.

The public is invited to attend the meeting.
