Sonny James, "The southern Gentleman," has died.

James was one of country music's most historic and beloved singers.  He charted 26 #1 records and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.  Between 1967 and 1971 James recorded 16 straight songs that reached #1, a phenomenal achievement.  His 45-single "Young Love," 1957, is considered to be the first teenage country crossover hit.  It sold 2,000,000 copies.
