An off-duty supermarket employee is accused of taking money from a cash register at the Price Chopper on State Route 13 in Cortland last month.

Cortland County Sheriff’s officials say Deputies were informed that shortly after 11 p.m. on Saturday, March 15th, $249.62 cents were taken at a time when that section of the store was closed.

Authorities reviewed surveillance video and arrested 20 year old Jacob Falso of Homer this past April 7 on a petit larceny charge.

Falso has been ordered to appear in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
