The Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Rotary Club of Cooperstown, Brewery Ommegang and Townsquare Media announce the event formerly known as “Cooperstown Field Day” will return downtown Saturday, October 10 as the “Main Street Cooptoberfest.” This fall’s event will include family friendly activities, games, and vendors and will expand into the evening for adults with the inaugural Cooperstown on Tap event featuring sampling of New York craft beers and ciders.

Main Street Cooptoberfest

The Main Street Cooptoberfest is a celebration of NY foods and beverages, Cooperstown's Main Street and the community, artistry, and history that abounds in the village and surrounding areas. The event will showcase Cooperstown as a regional gem and destination for art, family fun, and an authentic "hometown" feel. The event is also an opportunity to Main Street restaurants and retailers to showcase their businesses to the crowd of locals and visiting attendees and in the evening to feature the outstanding craft beers and ciders New York State has to offer through the first ever Cooperstown on Tap Beer Festival.  Main Street Cooptoberfest activities will begin at 10 am and will take place on Cooperstown's historic Main Street between Chestnut and Pioneer Streets. The event is a fundraiser for the Rotary Club of Cooperstown.

“Our objective is to bring back our marque fall event that allows us to showcase our wonderful village and its Main Street,” says Matt Hazzard, executive director for the Cooperstown Chamber of Commerce.  “We welcome our new partner Townsquare Media and our title sponsor Brewery Ommegang as we hope to provide a day of fun filled activities.”

Cooperstown on Tap is a sampling event from 4pm to 8pm on Main Street from Pioneer to Fair Street. In addition to Brewery Ommegang and their six brewing siblings, more than 30 breweries from across the New York State will each pour at least two of their best offerings at the event. The beer and cider tasting is accompanied by live music, food and activities - all on Main Street from Pioneer to Fair Street.
