U.S. Representative Richard Hanna spent Wednesday 18th December in Chenango County.

The congressman was guest speaker at Commerce Chenango’s annual luncheon at Fred’s Inn, followed by a visit to Sunrise Farms in Norwich where he toured the new yogurt plant. While there the congressman talked about the farm bill and whether it would pass congress in January. He said that he couldn’t begin to think what would happen if it did not pass.

Hanna also planned to visit the Wesson gun manufacturing facility south of Norwich. Hanna is a supporter of the 2nd amendment. His district includes Remington Firearms plant with 1450 employees.
