How does a customer know what characteristics make a quality shed that sets Amish Barn Company apart from its competitors?

The main line of buildings have 30 year IKO architectural shingles, a ten year structural warranty, door hinges that are under the building trim and even the inside of each door is painted for extra weather protection and a nice finished look.

How do I know if my building spot will work, or what do I need to do to get the spot ready?

If a 4 wheel drive truck with a trailer can back into the spot, then the spot will be fine. Amish Barn highly recommends that the shed go on a gravel pad at least 1 food larger than the shed on each side. For example, a 10’X10’ shed should be on a 12’X12’ pad. This is done by having your local sand/gravel company bring a load of “crusher run” (or similar product), dump it and spread it level. Levelness is very important. It’s what makes the shed doors open and close nicely.

Do I need a permit?

This varies by town. Many area towns require a permit for a shed 144 square feet or larger. Check by calling your town’s municipal office.

Are the buildings movable?

That’s another great feature of single story Amish made buildings. The 4”X4” pressure treated runners on the bottom of the building both promote air flow under the building and allow it to be picked up and moved if necessary in the future.
