Have you noticed the many new colorful banners lining the streets of Downtown Oneonta?  They look great and each depicts a different concept of the artist's image of Oneonta.

The winners of this banner competition are listed in the window of the greater Oneonta Historical Society building at the corner of Main and Dietz Street.

While we love them all, we have a sentimental favorite (see photo).  Tony Mongillo, one of  Oneonta's  great personalities and an artist for more than eight decades, did one of his familiar black and white line drawings of his view of the city evoking its history.

It looks great Tony!
