Chenango County Woman Dies Following Brutal Attack

The 39-year-old woman found beaten in the driveway of her Chenango County home has died.

The Chenango County Sheriff's office reports that Lucinda Knoll suffered severe head trauma when she was attacked around 6 am Friday at her home in Norwich. She was taken to Wilson Medical Center in Binghamtom, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Knoll's former boyfriend, William Danielson of Oxford, will be arraigned today in the Town of Chenango court on the charge of murder in the second degree.

Danielson is being held in the Chenango County Correctional Facility.

Lucinda Knoll was born and raised in Chenango County. She is survived by three young sons. A memorial fund has been set up to benefit her children. Details here.
