Chenango County Habitat Readies for ‘Souper Bowl’

Chenango County Habitat for Humanity is gearing up for their 2nd annual "Souper Bowl" to be held March 16 at the Norwich Family YMCA.

Last year about 160 people attended the event, which raised $1,800 for Habitiat.

Habitat representatives are beginning to visit restaurants in Chenango County to ask them to donate a gallon of their best soup and some freshly made bread or rolls.

The public will come to taste and evaluate more than 20 great hot soups and then vote for their top three favorites from 4-6 p.m. March 16.

Habitat is seeking donations of gift certificates, items and gift baskets from area merchants for a silent auction.
