BIG CHUCK will be doing a live remote broadcast at this event from 11am to 1pm.

The 12th Annual City of the Hills Art and Music Festival will take place on Saturday, September 13th, from 11am to 6pm in the Dietz Street Parking Lot, Oneonta NY, behind the historic Wilber Mansion.

This outdoor festival highlights fifty regional artists selling handmade ceramics, housewares, jewelry, clothing, paintings, drawings, prints, paper goods, knitted wares, accessories and much more. Hand-lettered signs by Black Rabbit Studio, leather adornments by Red Caravan, papercraft by Linden Street Paper, wet plate tinytype photography by Kevin Gray, Zoo Kids’ Clothing, scarves by Bonseye Designs, pine needle basket weaving by Pines and Pots, pottery by Jennifer Kemper, screen printed t-shirts by Blackbird and Peacock, and fine art by Maryann Stow are just a few of the artists featured. There will be a full line-up of eclectic musical acts throughout the day including Wendy Slicer’s Jazz Band, Catskill Casket Company, Pipe Bender, the Phakers, Suny Oneonta Funk Band featuring Jeremy Wall, plus performances by Pamela West-Finkle and students from the Community Music & Arts Network.

A variety of food vendors will include Andre’s Blue Ribbon BBQ (pulled pork & portobello mushroom sandwiches), Jamaican Creations (jerk chicken), Kettle Korn (several varieties of this tasty treat) and Debbie’s Concessions (fried dough and blooming onions).

The Carriage House Art Studio will be doing demonstrations and free hands-on activities for all ages from 12-2pm including ceramics wheel throwing and glass bead making. Kids will also enjoy playing in the Bounce House.

Be sure to stop by the historic Wilber Mansion Art Galleries to check out the current exhibition featuring Roshan Houshmand and Jian Cui.

From noon until 6 pm, Northern Eagle Beverage will once again be pouring a variety of locally and American made craft beer on tap and bottle, as well as everyone’s favorite domestic brands.
