The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive today at the Oneonta YMCA Gymnasium on Ford Street from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. According to the Red Cross it takes about an hour for the typical blood draw. While walk-ins are welcome, appointments are encouraged. The organization
urges eligible donors to donate blood now to help maintain the blood supply around the Independence Day holiday. Blood donations often decline during the summer months, but the Red Cross says the need for blood is constant for patients.
