I love pickled eggs.  You know, that big murky jar up behind the bar or on the grocery store meat case.  Hard boiled eggs immersed in a secret spicy garlicky broth.

I have been eating them all my life, and in fact my parents made them by the thousands at our little grocery store back in the 1950s and 1960s.  Even today, when my Mom knows there is a big family gathering ahead, she will whip up a batch of her famous pickled eggs.

But....I saw these on a counter this morning at the little Oneonta convenience store I get my morning coffee from.  I was intrigued by this new variation of pickled eggs.  Upon closer look, I thought "my stomach is not as young as it used to be" so I passed on these little bombs.  I even asked the clerk to open it up and let me take a whiff.  WOW......NO THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I like pickled eggs, and I love things hot.  But even I am not brave enough to give these a try.
