Big Chuck Opens Up His Variety Show Vault: “The Carol Burnett Show” (VIDEO)

The Carol Burnett Show was one of the most popular variety shows of all time.  it had a robust run of 11 seasons and won 25 Prime Time Emmy Awards.

The shows main stay was the ensemble skit.  Her regular costars included Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vickie Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner. Among her many famous guest stars were Mickey Rooney, Liza Minnelli, Sid Caesar and Martha Raye.  Songs were always a part of the show as Burnett was an accomplished vocalist in her own right.

To show you what a pro Carol really was, take a look at this rare clip.  During a skit with The Jackson 5 an actual California earthquake took place!  You can see at about 3:17 into this clip the camera jiggles a little and things go quite in the cast.  Carol wades right through it saying "The earth just moved" and keeps on going.  Classy lady!
