Big Chuck Discovers “The Unknown Museums of Upstate New York!”

I am pleased and proud to announce that my sixth "upstate" book has just been released by my publisher Syracuse University Press.  "The Unknown Museums of Upstate New York: A Guide to Fifty Treasures."  I will be debuting the new book this Sunday at the Green Toad Book Store in Oneonta at 1 p.m.  I hope you all can make it and enjoy my stories from the road.

The book took me a year to research, travel and write.  I visited 50 smaller museums from the Hudson Valley to the Adirondacks to the Finger Lakes and beyond.  Their stories are fun and, many times, inspiring.  The New York State Museum of Cheese, the Remington Arms Museum, the Slate Museum, the North American Fiddler's Museum, the Jell-O Museum, the Salt Museum, the Safe Haven Museum and yes, even the Kazoo Museum are among the many chapters in this book.  I enjoyed my visit at each and every one of these great little places around Upstate New York.
