According to a Bassett Health Care Network press release, Bassett’s school-based health program is a recipient of a Community Health Award grant from Excellus BlueCross BlueShield.

The $4,000 grant will go to buy new cleanable and single-use toys in order to meet the medical standard for prevention of disease transmission.  The toys are used by registered and licensed social workers providing mental health care to enrolled students at Bassett’s school-based health centers in partnership with the child psychiatrist at Bassett Medical Center.
