Max Baer, Jr. was only two years into his young acting career when he landed the role of Jethro Bodine in the classic television sitcom "The Beverly Hillbillies."  Baer played Jeb's (Buddy Ebsen) nephew.

Although he certainly gained worldwide fame from his many years on the Hillbillies, he gained is fortune from another show business endeavor.  In 1974 he wrote and produced the drama 'Macon County Line.'  He also starred in the movie.  The film was a huge hit and earned the historical footnote of being the most profitable movie ever made up to that date!  It cost only $100,000 to make and reaped more than $25,000,000 at the box office!

Max Baer, Jr., son of a boxing heavyweight champion, continues to make appearances at Old Time television shows around the country.  He is now 76 years old.
