Baby Boomer Alert: The Cast of “77 Sunset Strip” Is Still With Us! (VIDEO)

77 Sunset Strip was a big hit from 1958 to 1964.  It was an easy breezy private eye drams/comedy set in Los Angeles.  The show starred three of the hottest male actors of the day, all of them very handsome.  And they are still around nearly six decades later!

Roger Smith played private detective Jeff Spencer in the show.  He later married (and is still married to) Ann-Margret.  Smith is now 80 years old.

Ed Byrnes played the hair-obsessed cool hep-cat Kookie Kookson III in the show.  He appeared in many movies after 77 Sunset Strip left the air.  He is probably best remembered for his singing debut (with Connie Stevens) parodying his TV role, "Kookie, Kookie Lend Me Your Comb.  The record sold a million copies and went to #4 on the Billboard chart.  At one time he was receiving m,ore than 15,000 fan letters a week.  He is also now 80 years old.

Efrem Zimbalist, Jr. was the star of the show.  He played Stu Bailey and in 1959 he received a Golden Globe for his acting in 77 Sunset Street.  He later starred in his own show, The F.B.I.  His is now 94 years old!

It is nice to have these stars from one of our favorite TV shows still around!  I think this calls for a reunion show.....
