Mel Carter, who recorded such smash hits as  "Band of Gold," :All Of A Sudden My Heart Sings," and his international favorite multimillion selling single "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me" is celebrating his 50th anniversary in show business this year.

Cater, now 69 years old, had his first hit when he was just nineteen years old.  It was called "When a Boy Falls In Love."  He has appeared as an actor on many television shows including "Quincy," "Marcus Welby M.D.," "Sanford and Son" and many others.

Still on the touring circuit after decades on the road, he has lost none of the power and intensity of his youth.  He always closes an Oldies concerts and still can bring an audience to tears and a theater to its feet with a mesmerizing performance of his signature song.  Watch the video below and you will see what I mean.
