Actor Frank Bank has died at 71.

Bank played the slow, dimwitted teenage neighbor to the Cleaver family on the iconic baby boomer sitcom "Leave it to Beaver."

Lumpy (real series name Clarence Rutherford) drifted in and out of the series during the entire run of the show.  In later years he became a successful investment banker and actually handled the personal finances of colleagues on the show, including Barbara Billingsley (June Cleaver) and Jerry Mathers (Beaver).

He died at his home in posh Rancho Mirage, California the day after he celebrated his 71st birthday.
