Folk singer Glenn Yarbrough celebrates his 84th birthday today.

Glenn was a founder of the 1960s folk group The Limelighters as well as a very successful solo artists. He was the first singer to record the hit song "The House of the Rising Sun." He struck gold with his single "Baby, the Rain Must Fall," in 1965.  Many forget that this was actually a song from a movie starring Steve McQueen.

I always thought that Glenn Yarbrough was one of the sweetest voiced singers to ever come down the pike.  Happy birthday Glenn.

Do you remember this song?
