Baby Boomer Alert: Happy Birthday to WC Fields! (VIDEO)

By the time I was first introduced to WC Fields (1880-1946), I was in college.  Fields had been dead for more than 20 years but he was all the rage with me and all my college friends.

WC Fields is an acquired taste.  And I acquired it big time.  I have watched all of his movies and end up laughing myself sill every time.  I showed one of Fields' movies to our teenage son the other day.  I told him to stay with it for just 15 minutes and if he didn't think it was funny he could leave the room.  He was gone in exactly 15 minutes!

Field's humor was ujnder the radio.  Of course he was the master of the physical aspects of comedy, too.

Happy birthday today to William Claude Dunkenfield.  A very, very funny acquired taste!
