Baby Boomer Alert: Captain Kangaroo’s “Dancing Bear, Cosmo Alegretti, Dies at Age 86!

Baby boomers loved the Captain Kangaroo Show.  And what would that show have been like without Dancing Bear, Mr. Moose or Grandfather Clock?

Cosmo Allegretti was a set painter on the children's show when he was enlisted to jump into the bear suit and star dancing around the set.  Later came the other two characters.

Allegretti found a career as a voice actor and was once married to singer/actress Carol Lawrence.
