Baby Boomer Alert: 60 Years Ago “Frontier Town” Opened Up in the Adirondacks!

How many remember the old theme park "Frontier Town" in the Adirondacks?

This popular amusement park, located outside of Lake George in the little town of North Hudson, for more than 45 years.  It was a Western themed park where cowboys and Indians, rodeos, badge wearing sheriffs, old jails, saloons and stagecoach rides were the order of the day.

There were many theme parks that dotted the Adirondack region in the days of my youth.  And Frontier Town was always one of my favorites.  It closed in 1999 in the face of changing vacation plans, water parks and easy airplane travel.
