At about 5:35 p.m. this past Wednesday, the City of Oneonta Police Department patrol division conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 Chrysler in the area of Center Street in Oneonta. Police say that following interaction with the driver, a search of the vehicle was conducted which yielded 12.5 grams of powdered heroin, with a street value of $8300, 4 oxycodone pills, and $3769 in US currency. The driver, identified as 21 year old Austin Rose of Andes was arrested for the felonies of 3rd degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and 4th degree criminal possession of controlled substance and the Class A misdemeanor of 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
