A traffic stop by Delaware County Sheriff's Deputies in the Village of Delhi last week led to the arrest of a 52 year old Andes man on a felony drug possession charge. After observing a vehicle being operated across the center line on Meredith Street, Deputies stopped the vehicle and say further investigation led to the discovery of more than thirty bags of heroin in the vehicle. Deputies arrested the driver, Leland Liddle with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a class B felony. Liddle was additionally charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor. Liddle is accused of endangering the welfare of a minor child accompanying him while he intended to purchase heroin in the Town of Sidney on the night of September 29, 2015. As Deputies and Investigators executed a search warrant and arrested 31 year old Sean Dingle of Queens on charges of Third Degree Criminal Possession and Third Degree Sale of a Controlled Substance that night, Liddle and the child were allegedly observed in a vehicle waiting for Dingle to arrive in the Unadilla Fishing Access parking area. Liddle was arraigned in the Town of Sidney Court Thursday afternoon and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250,000 cash bail pending further court action.
