My friend Tom Pondolfino who works for the Oneonta Public Works department, is looking for someone to help him solve this mystery.

This fine looking statue, actually a bust, was tossed into the street a few years back in Center City Oneonta.  Apparently a city street sweeper came along and swept it up.  It was later found and someone took a shine to it.  It has been sitting in the general supervisor's office ever since.

What a fine looking bust, but who is it?  My vote says it belonged to an English major at one of the area's colleges and that the bust is writer John Steinbeck.  I imagine a college party getting a "little out of hand" and the bust ended up in the street.

Well, that is my guest.  What do you think?
